If you want to know the record holder for the shortest man in the world, then you're in the right place. The shortest man ever is Gul Mohammed of New Delhi, India, measuring 0.57 m (1 ft 10 2⁄5 in). He died on October 1, 1997, from respiratory complications and after a long struggle with asthma and bronchitis, acquired due to heavy smoking. According to The Guinness Book of World Records, was the shortest adult human being whose existence and height have been independently verified.

Khagendra Thapa Magar born in born October 14, 1992, measures 0.67 m (2 ft 2 1⁄2 in) and considered the shortest living adult. Formerly the shortest teenager in the world. He took the title of shortest man from Edward Nino Hernandez when he turned 18 on October 14, 2010. Magar is a primordial dwarf.

He Pingping was according to the Guinness World Records, the world's shortest man who was able to walk (mobile). He measured 74 cm (2 ft 5 in) tall. He died March 21, 2010.

Unverified claims of the shortest person is made concerning June Rey Balawing, considered to be the unofficial smallest man, measuring 22 in (56 cm), not yet verified by Guinness World Records.
